HEROES HAVEN

Covid Guide

Before You Go

Are you and the rest of your party fit to travel?

Please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus to review the latest government information regarding Covid-19. If you or any of your party develop or have any symptoms of Covid-19 within 14 days of your holiday, and have to cancel your booking, The Charity would need written or photographic proof of this before a refund can be issued.

If the area in which you live, is put into a Category three tier, and you are unable to travel, please let us know as soon as you are aware of this. In such cases we will either refund you the accommodation costs or rebook your holiday at a later date, your choice.

Should the Swanage area be put in to a Tier Three Category, and visitors are not allowed in to the area, we will refund the cost of your accommodation.

Whilst away

If you become unwell whilst staying at the lodge, you must follow these guidelines:

If a guest is displaying signs of the coronavirus (COVID-19) virus while staying in overnight accommodation for a permitted reason, they should inform the accommodation provider, immediately self-isolate where they are to minimise any risk of transmission, and request a test. If they are confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID-19), they should return home if they reasonably can. They should use private transport but only drive themselves if they can do so safely. If a guest cannot reasonably return home (for example because they are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), their circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority.

The accommodation provider and guest should discuss next steps as soon as possible. If the guest is unable to return home, the accommodation provider and guest should discuss meal and laundry provision, and accommodation providers should consider whether symptomatic guests should clean their own rooms and strip their own beds.

Unless otherwise provided for in the contractual terms of the booking, the guest will be expected to pay the costs of an extended stay in all but exceptional circumstances.

Exceptional Circumstances

If one of the guests in the party preceding your booking prove Covid 19 positive, it may be necessary to shorten or cancel your booking at short notice. The Charity does not have the facility to offer alternative accommodation, and therefore should such circumstances arise, a refund for the accommodation cost would be made.
